This workshop will analyze the elementary concepts of narrative in cinema by exploring the notion of sound as structural element to construct space – sound as space. This class has a practical component.
This workshop will allow the students to acquire technical and theoretical notions about the development of narrative models in cinema. The goal is to understand basic notions in sound that should be used in creative areas such as design, multimedia arts or cinema.
Filipa Farraia is a Portuguese visual artist. She attended at FBAUL, Faculdade de Belas Artes in Lisbon, have a Bachelor degree in Art at Hunter College of New York, a Master degree -MFA – Master in Fine Arts – and is a PhD candidate for 2017 at Lisbon University. Her work is presented in variable media such as, drawing, painting, multimedia, video and film. She had a scholarship from Gulbenkian Foundation and MoCC- Museum of Contemporary Cinema Foundation. Since 2013 she is an lecturer at IADE University.
